As wedding videographers, we've had the opportunity to document weddings at Casale de Pasquinelli and it remains one of our favourite venues in Tuscany. Not only because it's beautiful (the views are breathtaking), but because of the experience that can be created for couples and their guests.

Nearest Airports
Pisa International Airport – approximately 45-50 minutes by car
Florence Airport – approximately 1 hour by car
This gives guests flexibility when booking flights while still allowing everyone to feel immersed in the Tuscan countryside once they arrive. Unlike some remote destination wedding venues, guests don't need to spend hours travelling after landing, making the entire experience far more enjoyable.
Both Pisa and Florence airports also have on-site car rentals making your travel to and from the airport seamless.
Casale de Pasquinelli is located in the Tuscan countryside near Lucca, one of Italy's most charming historic cities.

While the estate feels secluded, it's also close to Lucca, one of Tuscany's most charming cities (or at least we think so!)
Many couples and guests choose to arrive a few days early or stay a few days longer to explore the city, local restaurants, piazzas and surrounding countryside. It adds another layer to the destination wedding experience and gives guests plenty to enjoy beyond the wedding itself.
Accommodation and Guest Experience
One of the reasons Casale de Pasquinelli works so well for destination weddings is that it allows your closest people to stay together in one place, turning the wedding into a shared experience rather than just a single day event.
The estate can accommodate around 38 guests on-site, spread across a collection of apartments and villas within the property. This setup makes it ideal for intimate wedding weekends where family and close friends stay immersed in the celebration from start to finish!!
What makes this particularly special is how naturally the accommodation connects to the rest of the venue. Guests aren’t separated from the event spaces or needing transfers between locations. Instead, everything flows within walking distance: morning coffee can turn into conversations by the pool, getting-ready rooms are close to the ceremony spaces, and late-night moments feel safe, easy and social because everyone is already home for the weekend.
It creates a feeling that is very different from a traditional wedding hotel setup. It feels more like a shared countryside retreat where everyone is part of the same experience, rather than just attending the wedding.

Cycle the historic city walls, wander the cobbled streets and enjoy some of the best restaurants in Tuscany! Our personal favourite area of Lucca is the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, built on the remains of a Roman amphitheatre. The original oval structure has completely shaped the layout of the square, creating a rare enclosed space full of restaurants, small shops and local life happening right inside the ancient structure.
Visit Pisa
Another easy and popular excursion from Casale de Pasquinelli is Pisa, located just under an hour away. While it’s known worldwide for the Leaning Tower, what surprises many wedding guests is how compact and walkable the historic centre actually is.
Most visitors head straight to the Piazza dei Miracoli, where the Leaning Tower, cathedral and baptistery sit together in a large open green space.
Wine Tasting Experiences
Wine tasting near Casale de Pasquinelli is mainly centred around the Montecarlo DOC area (10–15 minutes away) and the Colline Lucchesi hills around Lucca (15–30 minutes away). Montecarlo offers small, easy-access wineries such as Tenuta del Buonamico, known for structured tastings and vineyard views, while the Lucca hills include estates like Tenuta di Valgiano and Fattoria del Teso, which offer more intimate visits with cellar tours and tastings of local wines like Vermentino and Sangiovese.
